Port Douglas Sunday Markets
Every Sunday 8am -2pm
For guests who stay over the weekend, a visit to the famous Port Douglas markets on Sunday morning is a must.
Wander along Macrossan Street to the intersection of Wharf Street overlooking Port Douglas Inlet and within the sprawling grounds of Rex Smeal Park, mix with the stallholders and market growers while feasting on a colourful selection of hand made products, natural organic produce, arts, crafts and jewellery. You will no doubt pick up a treasure or two.
The market has been trading in locally made handmade goods for almost 20 years and became a Cotters Market in 1998, thereby guaranteeing that goods products were made by the stallholder or their immediate family.
The Sunday markets give our visitors a chance to take home a real piece of Port Douglas and its surrounding area with all the merchandise sold in the market being 100% locally made.
